Walt Disney World Dolphin

Tishman Construction served as Construction Manager for the 1,509-room Dolphin, a full service, convention-oriented luxury resort. The Michael Graves-designed property has a triangular, 27-story structure and four nine-story guest wings that extend from the main building, making it one of the largest structures on Walt Disney World property. Its main building - four city blocks long - is connected to its meeting and convention wing by a three-story rotunda. In 2002, Tishman managed the construction of 110,000 square feet of new exhibit space, bringing the Dolphin's total convention and meeting space up to 273,000 square feet. Dolphin sculptures more than five-stories-high stand atop the building's corners. A pedestrian causeway through Crescent Lake links the hotel with its sister property, the Swan - another Tishman project.
