Tishman Construction provided Owner's Representative services in a Project Manager capacity for the design and construction of this 1,976-seat world-class concert hall and arts education building. The multi-purpose Concert Hall has majestic acoustics for both amplified and non-amplified sound and holds performances by the nationally and internationally known artists of rock, pop, Broadway, jazz, world music and more presented by Strathmore, and concerts by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Washington Performing Arts Society and various other music performance groups. The arts education building provides a diversified range of educational offerings concentrating on the performing arts, with an emphasis on music education and dance for all ages. A structural pedestrian bridge links a parking garage to the Concert Hall.
Because the owner’s appropriations and scheduling requirements were dynamic, Tishman created a two-phased construction schedule to meet municipal funding requirements while maintaining an aggressive completion schedule.
